Hawaiian
Parents Banquet 2002! |
Here are some
more fun pictures from the big Appreciation Banquet of 2002. |
This
was the actual banquet. Each of the guests were welcomed with
honor and a traditional Hawaiian greeting. |

This
is mid-afternoon when we had finished most of the setup for the
banquet. We will eventually put lots of flowers on the tables, and
coconut lanterns. |
Some
of the guy and girl servers for the night all dressed up in
"authentic hawaiian garb"! = ) It's a fun style... Below
is the finished product of the entry way! Isn't it just the
coolest ever?!? Ah! And you thought that this was a picture
that was actually taken in Hawaii, didn't you! Yes. Very
authentic. Palms, torches, music, etc These
were some of our welcomers and Valet parking attendants! |
Aloha! |
Here
is Anders cutting coconuts for the lanterns and trees. To the
right is Erik and Tamara manning the 6 grills we had full of shish
kabobs. Everyone worked together and made the evening an
unforgettable experience! |

Here
are some pictures from the entertaining program. Below is an
authentic hawaiian song performed by a quartet - Jesse Long, Anders
Johansson, Dary Finck, and Ryan Gardener. It was one of the
highlights of the evening. |

This
is the crowd of us - crew, staff, organizers...yeah. Mostly just a
group of young people who love the Lord and are thankful for the
investments that parents and other have made in our lives. This
was our night to show in a special way our love, honor and gratefulness. |

for the night, which was a huge responsibility and a ton of work, but he

This
is the setup of the entry way. We made tons of palm trees and
lined the walk way. Tiki tourches were spaced in between them, and
fern branches lined the path. |
