Nogales,
Mexico Mission Trip 2003 |

In
June of 2003, a mission team of 7 of us drove all the way from Arlington
to Nogales, Arizona,
for a mission trip. The trip was about 2 weeks long and it was
packed with memories, lessons, answers to prayer....and bugs. We
did children's ministry, singing, skits, the Jesus video, and worked at
a mission, two churches, and an orphanage. It was a great trip and
here's a taste... |
This
is the last picture with the missionaries we worked with down
there. This is Darwin and Maryanne Jackson and their little
daughter, Gracie. The Jacksons and the Gomez's were so great to
get to know and work with! We learned a lot from the testimony of
their lives - the sacrifices they were making to save the lost...their
passion for souls....their boldness in sharing...Doing your best where
God puts you... God

This
was our visit to the orphanage. It was one of the highlights of
the trip. We loved the kids and had so much fun with them.
We first did a program with skits, songs and stories telling of God's
love for them, and then we played with them - piggyback rides, bubbles,
swings, snacks, you name it... Anna, Sarah and I More

  Where
we went....
Where we slept (on tables =
).... What we
ate.... it was great!On
the way home we got to stop in California. We hit Disneyland and
the beach. We also got to jump off some cliffs in Arizona the last
day we were there. It was a great trip = ) Here's
the team at our friend's house, the Hiplers. They were very kind
to house on on the way back from Mexico. God blessed this trip
with safety of many miles travelled, host homes along the way, and joy,
strengthen faith, eternal fruit and new friends across the border.
