Youth Events of 2002!
Here are some of the youth events of 2002.
This is Sarah and Leif...

They were some of the staff for the day...

To the left is the main cliff we were climbing that day..

This is all of us sacked out the morning of our Guys retreat.  We are on the shore of Peekaboo lake, nestled high in the Cascade mountains.

Guys Hike and Camp Retreat Weekend
Rock Day was a day of Hiking, Climbing and Rappelling on Mount Eerie.  It is a beautiful mountain over looking the San Juan Islands and it has some great climbing spots!  Here are some pictures from the day!

Here are the guys that made it for the Guys Camp Retreat at Peekaboo Lake this summer.  It was a great weekend!  God did a miracle by holding off the rain that weekend.
This is the group for the day!  Isn't it a beautiful view?  I guess you can't see any Island in the picture...but enough about the view.  It was an awesome day of fun as well as life lessons and analogies.  Krispy Kreme hats were the thing of the day as you can see by the inset pictures at left
Each fall we have a special event to welcome the new 7th graders.  This year we had a party at the Gee's house.  It was a great night, and we kept our second annual tradition - a game called "Hilidguard".
7th Grade Welcome & "Hildiguard"
Many youth worked hard to put on a play around the story of Esther from the Bible.  It was an excellent production and turned out very well!  Sarah did a lot of work to organize it, with help from many others.
The "Esther" Play
The guys had a hiking retreat this year, and the girls had an overnighter.  I hear it was filled with lots of fun crazy stuff, and some good devo's.

The whole gang...
Yep!  Hildiguard is a fish!
Hildiguard!
Yep, Hildiguard is
nice little cat fish.
This cat fish would
fly back and forth
over the volleyball
net to be caught and
thrown again by the
other team with their
garbage bags.
It was a blast -
or more like a splat,
actually - but
everyone had a
great time
Jess and Jazmine                                  This was part of the crazy obstacle course...oatmeal, yum!
This was the midnight snack run in pajamas.
Other activities included bowling, swimming, mixers, movie, pajama shopping, etc..  A good time had by all.
Every year we put on the biggest, fanciest banquet that we can to honor and show our gratefulness to those who have invested in our lives the most in the past year, namely - our parents, prayer warriors, and supporters.  This year had a hawaiian theme and it was tonz of fun!
